Huawei’s scholarship program for higher education students received around 3,000 applications, 45% of which were women. INCoDe.2030 is one of the partners in this project, which aims to support a total of 50 Portuguese higher education students in the STEAM areas (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics).
Huawei will support each of the 50 students with 5,000 euros, through an annual investment of 250,000 euros. The value of the scholarships is awarded over a year, by .PT, from the second semester of the 2021/2022 academic year to the first semester of the 2022/2023 academic year. Half of the grants will be awarded to women, as part of Huawei’s investment in promoting gender equality in ICT.
This program was developed within the scope of a memorandum of understanding between .PT and Huawei Portugal, and has the support of INCoDe.2030, the Commission for Citizenship and Equality and Portugal Digital. The ten elements of the jury are analyzing the applications and the winners will be announced shortly.

On International Women’s Day, March 8, at 9:00 am, the WOMEN CREATE VALUE session will take place, held by INCoDe.2030, by the Secretary of State for Citizenship and Equality, Rosa Monteiro, and by the Commission for Citizenship and Gender equality.

STEM PLAY was distinguished with the seal “uma ação INCoDe.2030” and is an innovative platform for learning programming, understanding the basics of computational thinking and developing creativity.

“Technovation Girls” was distinguished with the seal  “uma ação INCoDe.2030”, in the area of ​​inclusion. It is a global program of technological education, which aims to train girls from 8 to 18 years old, to become confident in STEM areas, leaders in the identification and awareness of relevant problems of today and creators of technological solutions.

Project “Bué Seguro” is an initiative promoted by the National Association of IT Teachers (ANPRI) in the area of digital security and was recently distinguished with the seal “uma ação INCoDe.2030”. It focuses mainly on the areas of collaboration, communication, protection and privacy in digital environments, media and digital data carriers and security in equipment, networks and artefacts.

The  Project “Computer Science”, promoted by the National Association of IT Teachers (ANPRI) articulates different areas, from Computational Thinking, Programming, Robotics, Artificial Intelligence, to Virtual and Augmented Reality and was recently distinguished with the seal “uma ação INCoDe action .2030”.

Wild Code School is a leading technological school in Europe, which offers training programs in more than 20 campuses in face-to-face, hybrid or remote format and has been distinguished with the seal of “uma ação INCoDe.2030”, in the area of Qualification.

In order to learn about and promote the dissemination of various initiatives within the scope of digital training and women’s participation in ICT, INCoDe.2030 accompanied the Secretary of State for Citizenship and Equality, Rosa Monteiro, on visits to companies, schools and other institutions with projects in the scope of digital training and women’s participation in ICT.
