The Forum for Digital Skills, which is responsible for gathering and coordinating a broad range of private and public companies and institutions to ensure widespread mobilisation for the National Digital Competences Initiative e.2030, Portugal INCoDe.2030 – as well as of organising an annual conference in which the developments in each line of action be presented and analysed in the context of national and international success stories and good practices.

The 1st Conference of the National Forum for Digital Competences took place on December 6th, 2017, at the Convento de São Francisco in Coimbra. The objective of this meeting was to monitor and debate the National Digital Competences Initiative e.2030, Portugal INCoDe.2030.

The Conference presented case studies from each of INCoDe.2030 action lines: Inclusion, Education, Qualification, Specialization and Research.

The 2nd Conference of the National Forum for Digital Competences will be held on December 12th at the Lisbon Congress Center (Centro de Congressos de Lisboa) from 9:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Come participate and get to know the ongoing projects and new ideas to promote digital competences for active citizenship on areas such as inclusion, education, qualification and employability, specialization and research.

To ensure this active citizenship, together with a leading national position in Europe, Portugal needs more digitally included and capable people, more active and with more and better jobs. We also need more innovative products and even more competitive economic activities.

This is a mission that we have been developing with everyone.

During the day, this 2nd Conference of the National Forum for Digital Competences will count with the presence of citizens, mayors, teachers, trainers, entrepreneurs and researchers with ongoing projects and ideas for the future of Portugal.

The 3rd Conference of the National Forum for Digital Competences will take place in March 3rd, 2020, at the Centro de Congressos da Alfândega do Porto, from 9:00 am to 6:30 pm.

The conference presents the transformation level and the recent progress in digital competences developed by the citizens, municipalities, teachers, trainers, entrepreneurs, investigators, as well as ongoing projects and ideas to promote digital competencies for active citizenship, inclusion, education, qualification and employability, specialization and research.

This will be an excellent opportunity to bring up the new cycle of the INCoDe.2030 Initiative.

The 22nd of April is Girls in ICT Day and in this sense the webinar “Girls in ICT International Day: Talks on Technology” will be held, an initiative organized within the scope of the Engineers for a Day Project.

The opening session will be chaired by Luisa Ribeiro Lopes, Coordinator of the INCoDe.2030 Program and President of .PT, and by Rosa Monteiro, Secretary of State for Citizenship and Equality. The closing session will be in charge of Manuel Heitor, Minister of Science, Technology and Higher Education.

This session marks the start of the Portugal Digital Forum and aims to raise girls' awareness of career opportunities in ICT.

The reflection on this topic will be moderated by Sara Sá, Journalist at Exame Informática and Visão, and will include the participation of entities such as CDI Portugal, Microsoft, University of Aveiro, IBM, Sensei, Kirshhoff Automotive, DefinedCrowd and Escola 42.

Fórum Digital: Girls in ICT Day

The Portugal Digital Forum kicked off the 10th anniversary of the Girls in ICT International Day, on April 22, with the holding of the webinar “Girls in ICT International Day: Talks on Technology”, organized by the Secretary of State for Citizenship and for Equality, Rosa Monteiro, by INCoDe.2030, by the Commission for Citizenship and Gender Equality and by .PT.

In the week of May 3 to 6, it was time to highlight Digital Skills and the Digital Transition of People, Companies and Government, with a distinguished panel of speakers from various government areas and  associative and business sectors, which reflects the joint effort in the urgent promotion of the country's digital transition.

The Portugal Digital Forum took place at the Knowledge Pavilion – Ciência Viva and marked the first year of the Action Plan for the Digital Transition and the restructuring of INCoDe.2030.

This initiative is part of the Month of Digital Skills – #tratarodigitalportu, which takes place during the month of October, and which includes several actions of the programs that are working in Portugal to promote the digital skills of Portuguese women and men.

The Digital Skills Forum aims to dynamize and articulate a wide range of social actors and ensure a broad mobilization for the Digital Skills National Initiative e.2030, INCoDe.2030, including this annual public conference in which the results of the evolution by action axis of INCoDe.2030, as well as cases of good practices.

Digital Skills Forum 2023

The Digital Skills Forum took place in Porto, which closed the Digital Skills Month - #tratarodigitalportu.

The Digital Skills Month calendar featured more than 40 initiatives, culminating in this Forum, where the main results of the INCoDe.2030 initiatives were presented, by the General Coordinator of INCoDe.2030, Luisa Ribeiro Lopes, and the National Map of Initiatives of Digital Training, which has more than 1200 initiatives and is available at www.pontodigital.pt.

The event featured messages from the Prime Minister, António Costa, MEP Maria Manuel Leitão Marques, president of the Digital Skills Forum, and the Secretary of State for Digitalization and Administrative Modernization, Mário Campolargo, who closed the event.

The importance of digital skills in artificial intelligence was under debate. Arlindo Oliveira, General Coordinator of National AI, Web 3.0 and Data Strategies set the tone for the debate, followed by a discussion of the topic with contributions from Alípio Jorge, Andres Ortolá, Joana Gonçalves Sá, João Dias and Paulo Nuno Vicente, and moderated by SIC journalist, João Moleira.

Luisa Ribeiro Lopes was also in conversation with Pedro Guedes de Oliveira and Nuno Rodrigues, two previous coordinators of INCoDe.2030. An assessment of the Employment + Digital Program was also made by the Secretary of State for Labor, Miguel Fontes, and the second phase of the #LerBeforeClickAfter campaign was presented by Isabel Baptista from CNCS.

In parallel, throughout the day, several workshops took place and initiatives dedicated to qualifying people, companies and organizations to use digital were on display.

The winners of the “Selo Uma Ação INCoDe.2030” Award, which aims to recognize and publicize initiatives and entities that promote the best practices in digital empowerment of the population, and which were distinguished with the Seal “Uma Ação INCoDe.2030” were also announced. . The winning initiatives were: Technovation Girls, StepByTech, Apps for Good, T-CODE and Rampa Digital.
