On February 9, 2021, Safer Internet Day is celebrated, a European initiative that aims to contribute to the creation of a better Internet for everyone, especially young people.

INCoDe.2030 has recently distinguished the projects “Academia Gulbenkian do Conhecimento Mudar o Futuro” and “The Tech Career GPS” with the seal “uma ação INCoDe.2030”, which consists of recognizing projects that help to train digital skills in Portugal .

Applications are now open for Arquivo.pt Award 2021, which once again distinguishes innovative research work on the information preserved by Arquivo.pt, with a total of €15,000 in prizes.

The training “Literacy for the media and journalism: pedagogical practices with the media and about the media” is back, carried out by the General Directorate of Education.

The FCCN unit approved 129 projects within the scope of the first edition of the Advanced Computing Projects Competition, promoted by Fundação para a Ciência e Tecnologia (FCT). 67 of the approved projects fall into the A1 and A2 typologies of this competition (Preparatory Access and Project Access), with an approval rate of 50.4% in these categories.

A cable with cutting-edge technology, connecting Portugal and Latin America has already arrived in Sines. This project is possible thanks to the decisive role of the education and research community of the National Scientific Computing Unit (FCCN) of Fundação para a Ciência e  Tecnologia (FCT).

The NAU Platform, managed by the FCCN Unit of Fundação para  a Ciência e Tecnologia (FCT), reinforces the importance of knowledge and protection in online purchases, with the Course “Consumidor Ciberseguro”, aimed at all people who buy or intend to buy online safely.
