UBBU-Learn to Program received the highest Social Impact Title (TIS) ever, worth 1,050,000 euros, and this is not the first time it has been awarded: in 2015 it was awarded the first TIS in Portugal. The objective of this project is to increase the level of digital literacy of students in the 1st and 2nd cycle of basic education over the next three years, allowing free access to programming classes to the schools that integrate it. Fundação Altice, Banco Montepio, Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Lisboa and Siemens are the project’s financiers, which will be evaluated by FCT – Fundação para a Ciência e Tecnologia, which is an action of INCoDe.2030.

The 1st Call for applications to the REACH Incubator is now open, aimed at companies that intend to integrate the incubation program, which runs from April 2021 to February 2022.

Portugal will have a new world-class green supercomputer to help with scientific research, which represents a joint investment of 20 million euros over the next three years and is expected to be operational in early 2022.

 FórumIA – Artificial Intelligence in Portugal, held by INCoDe.2030, will present its first online session on February 11, with the topic “Artificial Intelligence in the Retail Sector”. On February 9, 2021, Safer Internet Day is celebrated, a European initiative that aims to contribute to the creation of a better Internet for everyone, especially young people.

INCoDe.2030 has recently distinguished the projects “Academia Gulbenkian do Conhecimento Mudar o Futuro” and “The Tech Career GPS” with the seal “uma ação INCoDe.2030”, which consists of recognizing projects that help to train digital skills in Portugal .

Applications are now open for Arquivo.pt Award 2021, which once again distinguishes innovative research work on the information preserved by Arquivo.pt, with a total of €15,000 in prizes.
