Minister visits Creative Community for Digital Inclusion in Barcelos
On 26th November, the Minister of the Presidency and of Administrative Modernisation visited the Creative Community for Digital Inclusion, in Barcelos. The INCoDe.2030 Initiative is structured as an integrated programme which aims to promote and articulate the development and adaptation of models of digital inclusion according to local, social and geographical contexts.
The Creative Community for Digital Inclusion, in Barcelos, is a project of digital inclusion targeted for the children and young people of this region. Its mission is to develop digital competences and digital literacy amongst the younger ones, as well as instill the importance of education and training for their future, by creating a positive connection with school knowledge. To this end, they promote activities on identity and preservation of local heritage, which are shown in a local news website.
The Minister had the opportunity to get to know the project in class context, having direct contact with children, in the Abel Varzim Social Center, in Barcelos.
