In the Human Capital component we highlight:
- Portugal reduced digital exclusion by 3 points compared to the same period last year. In 6 years, it reduced from 22% in 2017 to 13% in 2023;
- Portugal is making progress in digital skills: 55% of the population between 16 and 74 years old has at least basic digital skills;
- The percentage of women ICT specialists is 20.4%, above the EU average of 18.9%.
Portugal is expected to make a positive contribution to achieving the goals of the European Union’s Digital Decade.
INCoDe.2030 has been supporting several programs, projects and initiatives to promote the digital skills of Portuguese men and women and gender equality in ICT.
